Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM, with 1-2 days per week on the road

Job Description:

TriLab Health is seeking a highly organized and efficient Logistics Dispatch Coordinator and Driver for our Elmhurst location. This role combines logistics management with driving duties. The ideal candidate will excel in logistics coordination, communication, adaptability, and technology utilization (especially Onfleet). A commitment to safe and timely deliveries and experience in vehicle maintenance is essential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Dispatch Coordination:

    • Plan and coordinate routes using Onflee (Required) 
    • Utilize technology for tracking, routing optimization, and dispatch efficiency.
    • Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and team members to optimize logistics.
    • Monitor shipments and provide updates.
    • Address transportation issues and minimize disruptions.
  2. Driving Duties:

    • Operate company vehicles safely, with 1-2 days per week on the road.
    • Comply with traffic laws and safety regulations.
    • Conduct vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
    • Use Onfleet for navigation and delivery management.
    • Handle loading and unloading of goods.
  3. Vehicle Maintenance:

    • Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.
    • Coordinate repairs and maintain a well-maintained fleet.
    • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.
    • Schedule regular vehicle service and inspections.
  4. Communication, Documentation, Problem Solving, and Customer Service:

    • Maintain clear communication, manage paperwork, address logistical challenges, and provide excellent customer service.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
  • Manual dexterity required for specimen collection and equipment operation.
  • Visual acuity necessary for accurate labeling and documentation.
  • Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs. 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics/transportation education is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Experience in logistics coordination and dispatching.
  • Proficiency with Onfleet or similar software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Capability to work in a dynamic environment.
